It was a risky venture starting this blog in September. In the distance, you knew that there was a chance that being Bipolar could stop this blog in its tracks. With October and November looming you made the decision to move forward. It was the right choice.
I am a planning type of person and knowing that SAD months are the hardest for me. I plan with my therapist to see her more frequently. In contrast, in the summer months, I only see my therapist once or twice a month.

I recently talked with my therapist about one of the causes of my social anxiety– my insomnia. We made the decision together for me to start working on my issues with sleep (sleep apnea) with the hopes that when I get my sleep under control so that we can work on my social anxiety. I will be seeing my sleep doctor in the coming weeks.
If you have been following my blog, you know that I have been working since November of 2017 on my memoir. All the money donated since that time has been put into a fund to pay the artist that is creating a cover so I can self-publish. Every cent that I have is going for that purpose.
Above all, we must encourage those that are suffering alone without help to seek help. There is nothing more important than seeking help, and it is the most stigmatized part of mental illness.
I envy the fantastic bloggers who use their real names because they can be true to themselves, but I have found the same level of success writing anonymously or with a pseudonym.
It is a great feeling to reach another milestone for The Bipolar Writer blog– 7,000 Followers.
